#thenewlocal is the guiding value statement of ASC.

Local is a person, not a place. We believe that small business can and will transform our world. Your local contribution can echo, expand, and edify. We’ve worked with small business just long enough to know that there is nothing small about it - that one persons gifts, when shared intentionally and effectively, can have a lasting, permanent impact. Growth through success, growth through failure, growth through change. ASC is with you every step of the way. We work with brands we believe in to help them break out of the pigeonhole, to spread the positive culture of business from one local to another.

Allena Staples - Founder + ceo

I was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1994 to two hard-working Jamaican immigrants. My parents taught me to judge people by their character and their character alone, the value of hard work, and how important it is to invest in yourself and your talents. I graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2017 but had already spent several years working with Small Business Owners - hardworking people who were determined to make something for themselves. I knew before I graduated that ASC was my dream - and it amazes me everyday that it’s real! I have over 5 years of hands-on experience with small business, over 10 years graphic and web design experience, and a real passion for aesthetic design and the simple magic of telling a true story.

Lori weinstein - Account executive + associate director

I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio.  My parents (a physician and a lawyer - cliche, I know) put intelligence and self-respect at the forefront in our household.  After graduating from Vanderbilt University in 2014, I worked in Marketing for 4 years at a healthcare company in Nashville. I put my whole self into all the work that I do, and am passionate about helping businesses achieve their full potential. I am excited to work with ASC to continue my work in simple, effective branding and bringing all the benefits of small businesses to the consumers that need them.
